Working On Training…

Today is a big day for Sonny, the 2-legged Chihuahua, and his buddy, Boston. Both of these handsome fellas will be working their puppy mojo on the kids at the Ross Community Center.

Sonny And Boston Meet The Ross Community Center Kids Today

The first time I gave a presentation here my friend, Michelle Beard helped out. I took Miss Willy, one of my rats, and the kids loved her. Being that close to a rat was a shock to many of the kids but all-in-all, it was a fun time for everyone.

Boston stole the show with all the tricks he did. The kids were ooohhhing, ahhhing, clapping and begging me to teach them how to train their dogs like that.

During the first presentation I focused mainly on how to greet dogs, how to train them to do tricks and to treat each dog as an individual. This time will be a little different because Sonny’s joining us. Together, these dogs can help me educate on many different topics. With Sonny only having two legs I hope to capture their attention and really give some good advice on things that we all face; being unique. With Boston’s eagerness to please, I’ll show them what pit bulls (and any dog) can be like with love, training and a family.

I’ll present these topics:

  • Bullying
  • Prejudice
  • Discrimination
  • Pit Bull Education
  • Responsible Pet Ownership
  • And How to Safely Greet a Dog

Wish us luck! I’m prepared, Sonny will lick the kids like crazy and Boston will do his tricks and commands happily as he always does. Both of these dogs are great breed ambassadors and I’m proud to have them help me at these types of events.

If you’re in the area, stop by and watch the show. We’ll be there from 3:00-4:00pm today!

Have a good day,
