Who loves a feel-good story?
We do, especially when it’s a happy story about dogs! We’re ecstatic that SonnyRoo and Maddie’s story has spread across the United States.
A little background about SonnyRoo aka Sonny: Sonny is my newest little fella. He was dropped off at a friend’s house in August 2014, they couldn’t keep him so they called me. When I saw him for the first time I fell in love and the rest is history. He has a sister named Maddie, she was adopted by a friend. SonnyRoo and Maddie also had two other siblings with their front legs missing but we haven’t been able to locate them unfortunately. SonnyRoo lives with two pit bull brothers, cats and occasional foster kittens. He’s happy, healthy and loves life. He joins his mom when she does Humane Education presentations for Girl Scouts, Brownies and other children groups where she talks about bullying, disabilities, being different and how to be a good pet guardian.
SonnyRoo Goes Viral
Sonny was in our local newspaper, The Star Press, several times. Fox 59 tv station ran a broadcast about him and his sister Maddie. States like Florida, Texas, California and Pennsylvania picked up Sonny’s and has broadcast it for the world to see. Little did I know he’d become a little famous and the plight of 2-legged dogs would become so popular.

SonnyRoo received his brand new set of wheels, thanks to a good samaritan in Florida who saw his story. Check out this article which ran on Fox 29 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
