Good news dog lovers in Muncie and Yorktown, we’ve got some interesting and fun things in the works but wanted to give you, our very important friends, clients and followers, a little sneak peek. 
With the dog days of summer approaching the heat can be unbearable for our canine friends but despite that, our dogs still need exercise. We’ve scheduled our events earlier in the morning or later in the evening in hopes that it won’t be miserable outside. If it’s raining the day of our walk, it might be rescheduled and we’ll share the change on our web site.
Our walks are scheduled for an hour but you can stay as long or as little as you want.
We probably won’t be walking super fast but the group that joins us will dictate the speed and where we walk. Each time could be different depending on who walks so keep that in mind…
Helpful tips…
…We suggest you bring water for you and your dog (plus a collapsible water bowl maybe) AND bring poop bags.
…Make sure your dog collar is tight enough and it won’t slip off.
…Bring a leash (retractable leashes should be kept short for safety),
…All dogs are welcome!
…We’re hosting three fantastic dog walking groups in two sections of Muncie and one in Yorktown. Each group will meet one time monthly.
Here’s the important details:
Ball State Dog Walking Club
Join us for our inaugural dog walking meet up! Our Ball State Dog Walking Club will walk around campus and through historic Westwood neighborhood. Prior to our group walk we’ll introduce ourselves and share the goals of the group. We might end the walk at one of the restaurants with outdoor patios on campus and sit down for dinner. Bring some money just in case you decide to grab a bite or a drink.

Yorktown Dog Walking Club
We’ll meet at Morrow’s Meadow, have introductions and we’ll talk about our group goals and give important information about the group. We decided to do this group on a Friday night because the Farmer’s Market is super cool and if you haven’t been there, what a great time to visit!
Pizza King is nearby and if they have an outdoor patio we might eat there after our walk so bring some cash!

Downtown Dog Walking Club
Our final dog walking club for July ends in downtown Muncie.We’ll meet at Canon Commons (south end of downtown, across from YMCA), have introductions and talk briefly about the group, share what our goals are and get to walking.

We hope these events build a great community of dog lovers and gives people the chance to meet other like-minded individuals. And a little side note: for those people that need a little motivation with fitness, this is the right place. We’re all here to have fun with our dogs and walk our booties off!
So grab a bottle of water, put your tennis shoes on, invite your friends, grab you dog and join us!!
