What a whirlwind of a day! Who would’ve thought that we’d be on WTHR news tonight, let alone be in The Star Press, USA TODAY and First Coast News, all because of Sonny and Maddie, the 2-legged Chihuahuas who hop like kangaroos. These two sweet little dogs hopped right into our hearts last Tuesday and they aren’t going anywhere!
USA TODAY thought this was an interesting enough topic to share with their readers and here’s a link to their web page.
What’s Next?
Find a company who specialize wheelchairs for doggies who hop like kangaroos!
Sonny and Maddie are only about 5 months old and have a full life ahead of them and need to walk like dogs not marsupials. With the properly fitted wheelchair or cart their lives will be better and healthier. We look forward to seeing how many lives these little dogs impact. Read this article about Sonny and Maddie.
How you can help
We’re seeking donations of any kind to help pay for Sonny’s wheelchair at an approximate cost of $500. Also, both Sonny and Maddie will need neutered and spayed so any donations towards that would help us greatly.
If you’d like to donate towards this please send your donations to:

We’re getting a tremendous amount of publicity about these two adorable dogs and this gives us a larger platform to
speak about irresponsible breeding, backyard breeders and the importance of spaying and neutering. This is a huge opportunity to educate the public about disabled or special needs dogs as well. We’re going to seize every opportunity we can and use this moment in time to influence our culture and other pet lovers into rescuing and adopting the ‘non-traditional’ dog.
