Simple tips for cat litter box training Most cat guardians will ask this question at some point or another. This article is here to give you tips to encourage your cat to pee and poop INSIDE the litter box.
How many cats do you have? How many litter boxes do you have? Do you clean them daily? What kind of litter do you use? Have you tried other types of litter? Have you had him to the vet? Many cats will start peeing like that when they have a UTI. Do your cats go outside? If they do and they get mad because they can’t get outside when they want they can protest pee ? Do you have neighborhood cats that come around your house, your windows or doors? Your cat could be peeing because he’s marking his territory. Is he neutered? How old is he? Have you tried blocking off the area he pees in? Ideally you should have 1 extra cat box for the number of cats you have, so 2 cats, 3 boxes, 4 cats, 5 boxes, etc. Boxes should be spread around house and vary in type. Covered, uncovered, low sides, higher sides. That way the cats will pick the ones they like best.
