Overnight Pet Care For Your Dog Or Cat

Thinking about trying overnight pet care services? Here’s an example of one our Muncie pet care clients: Mike adopted a new dog from the Muncie Animal Shelter. Hugo had severe separation anxiety which wasn’t displayed until he had been in his new home for a couple weeks. Once Hugo started chewing up drywall and the furniture, Mike knew he had to do something so he called us.

After doing a sample run of our overnight pet care services for a few nights a week while he worked at the hospital, Hugo started to make improvement. The pet sitter started off having him sleep in the bedroom with her, in his crate. Then gradually she scooted the crate farther away from the bedroom, making sure he knew she was still close by. Eventually the crate was moved completely from the room for the entire night. With positive reinforcement, patience and consistency, Hugo learned that the crate wasn’t such a bad thing and that being alone wasn’t that scary.
