Rebel--Approximately 6-7 years old
All shots will be current before we place him with someone else
Veterinarian: Riverview Animal Hospital on Country Club Road & 32
Breed: Bichon Friese
Rebel would do well with an older couple or a home with older children. He does okay around small children, but likes to take their toys from them, as he thinks they are his. He loves to take naps setting next to his owner. He eats Iams dry dog food and has mixed vegetables for his evening meal. In the past, when Alice has gone on vacation, he stays at McDonald's Kennel on Hoyt Avenue and they have had no problems with him at all and he loves getting groomed while there. She usually has him groomed about every 4 months at Wags & Whiskers just off of west Jackson Street.
If interested please contact Jeff Rathel at 749-6501. Please have the person tell Jeff who referred them.

Tyson aka Mr. Loverman
His Story Tyson is a male American Bull Dog mix that we rescued in October 2010. He was starving at his original home and would've died had we not stepped in to help. After being neutered, fully vetted and shown what LOVE is all about, he's turned out to be one heck of a dog! He's a lover, good with other dogs, he loves cats and children. He's a gentle fella although goofy and clumsy at times.
He loves to lay on the couch with the other dogs, run and romp in the yard and chew on things he can pull strings off of...strange, but yes, he's a string-lover. Tyson loves car rides and is learning to walk politely on leash.

or contact the local organizations in your hometown. If you are seriously looking to adopt a new pet, don't give up or lose hope if you're not finding the 'perfect' pet as soon as you'd like.
Here's a word of encouragement: be open-minded about the pets you'll be looking at at a rescue organization or shelter. Many times they're not accustomed to people coming to visit and some have been in shelters for an extremely long time. Some pets come from abusive situations or just need a little extra time to 'come out of their shells'. Don't give up on them. Be patient. Love goes a long way and you could be just the person they need to learn how to blossom again!
Please check back often as new animals will posted as they
become available. If you have a pet you'd like us to post, send us your contact information,
a description of the pet and anything you'd like a potential adopter to know.
