a little history
Loving and caring for animals has always been a constant in my life. Growing up I had various pets, including Missfit, a grumpy old black cat who lived to be 17, Billy, a lab who died from a heart condition, Lucky, a beautiful shepherd mix that couldn't keep his four legs in his own backyard, and countless parakeets, goats, chickens and turkeys that I was lucky enough to call family when I lived on a farm in Losantville.
Today, my family consists of our spoiled dogs, Tyson, our foster dog, Mozie, a very rambunctious and vocal kitty and the newest addition to the family is a long hair tortoiseshell cat we call Miss Lovey Dovey, who, like Tyson, is up for adoption.
how we got started
While working as a hairstylist, I dreamed of having my own business. I wasn't for sure if it would be in the 'hair field' even though doing hair and helping people feel beautiful is a passion, I decided to further my education. I graduated Ivy Tech then went on to study at Ball State University. After getting my bachelor degree, I decided to pursue work in a law firm. After 3 years of preparing legal documents, shredding documents and doing tons of filing, it was time for a change again. Sitting behind a desk, typing documents, answering phones and taking messages just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm a 'free spirit', I'm creative, I like to think outside of the box and of course, I love animals. So...I decided I needed to have my own business doing what I loved (and not sitting behind a computer all day!). Working for myself, being responsible for the success of the business excited me...not to mention the flexible schedule and seeing my vision become reality!
After researching Muncie and the surrounding towns I saw there was a need for a pet care service that I had in mind. Kennels and dog day care businesses existed but a personalized, flexibile, in-home pet care service wasn't available. The business I envisioned would provide reliable pet care to people with "tempermental" dogs, dogs unable to "socialize" with other dogs, cats and other pets with medical issues, farm animals, aquatics, birds and just about any other animal that needs care. Little did I know my vision would expand to making homemade dog bones and so many other things I've been blessed to be take part in.

My life is so enriched because of the people I've met through this endeavor. Countless little blessings have come my way through the puppy kisses, kitty purrs and horse licks and I get the chance to help pet parents be the best they can by providing safe, dependable care to their extended 'family'. My dog training experience comes in handy when I talk to pet parents about dealing with behavior problems and I get the joy of seeing a dog go from pulling on the leash, to eventually, walking politely. I get the pleasure of working with shy, timid dogs and see them come out of their shells. My job as a pet sitter doesn't stop when I'm not working as I'm always keeping my eyes opened for abused and neglected animals. I allow myself to be a voice for the voiceless and feel it a privilege to help in these situations. Should you need any type of pet care services, I'd appreciate the opportunity.
