About Us
Loving and caring for animals has always been a constant in Kelley's life. From the time she
was a little girl she had various pets, including Missfit, a grumpy old black cat who lived to be 17, Billy, a lab who died from a heart condition, Lucky, a beautiful shepherd mix that couldn't keep his four legs in his own backyard, and countless parakeets, goats, chickens and turkeys that she called family when she lived on a farm.
Today, Kelley's family consists of her spoiled dogs, including Angel, her American PIt Bull Terrier, and a feeble 16-year old kitty named Hobo.
Start of Company
Kelley researched the area and saw needs in her town that weren't being satisfied by the local kennels and dog day care businesses. Sure, the local businesses were good and beneficial to the community, but for certain situations, a business that catered to people and their pets, IN THEIR HOME, would be much better.
For pet parents who need last-minute pet care, who could they call? If a pet parent has a 'tempermental' dog, or one that has dog-aggression, who would take care of him/her? What about the people that have numerous pets, including dogs, outside cats and farm animals? Elderly and disabled pets...what about them? They need extra special care as well, would a kennel be a good place for them? Probably not.
Addressing those questions, Kelley created the business to cater to people exactly in those situations. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to work with what I love--animals! My life is so enriched because of the people I've met through this endeavor. Countless little blessings have come my way through the puppy kisses, kitty purrs and horse licks and I get the chance to help pet parents be the best they can by providing safe, dependable care to their extended 'family'. My dog training experience comes in handy when I talk to pet parents about dealing with behavior problems and I get the joy of seeing a dog go from pulling on the leash, to eventually, walking politely. I get the pleasure of working with shy, timid dogs and see them come out of their shells. My job as a pet sitter doesn't stop when I'm not working as I'm always keeping my eyes opened for abused and neglected animals. I allow myself to be a voice for the voiceless and feel it a privilege to help in these situations. Should you need any type of pet care services, I'd appreciate the opportunity.
