Frequently Asked Questions
A: Contact us through the web site or by phone. We will call you to set up a time to visit your home. At that time we will discuss the services we offer, our policies, meet your pet(s) and get to know each other a little bit.
If you decide to use our services, then we’ll set up our plan, take the initial 50% deposit and reserve your time.
Q: How do I pay for services and when is payment due?
A: We currently accept cash, check and money order. For new clients 100% is due prior to us starting services. For existing clients, 50% is due prior to services starting and remainder of payment is due when services are complete. Payment may be left in an envelope or other arrangements can be discussed in initial consultation.
Q: What’s the cancellation policy?
A: We understand that situations may change and you may decide not to use our services after you have reserved them, however, our policy states:
0 – 48 hours prior to any service and / or holidays:
Payment in full is charged. No refunds.
2 - 4 days prior to service:
20% of service total is due (equals an 80% refund).
5 days or more prior to service:
No charge. Full refund.
Q: Do you have a policy for late paments?
A: Yes we do and we can discuss this with you at your initial consultation. We do charge a fee for NSF (non-sufficient funds), returned checks and for late payments. We will work with a debt collection agency for non-payment of funds if payment is not received promptly.
Q: What if my dog doesn't get along with other animals or people, can I still utilize your services?
A: Please contact us to discuss your specific situation. We'll try our best to work with you to integrate our services with your pet, but depending on the severity of issues, a consultation or two might be necessary. We are not fans of breed discrimination, but do understand that temperment plays a big role in the overall development of dogs especially. We believe that dogs are not "born bad or aggressive", but they can become aggressive and display unhealthy behaviors without proper training and socialization. In saying that, we encourage obedience training, crate training, positive reinforcement and socialization, socialization, socialization...
Q: What if I have multiple-animals, can you still pet sit for me?
A: Yes. We'll just need to make sure to discuss this during our initial consultation so that we are prepared to handle multiple issues/pets and that you are aware of the fees associated with such care.
Q: What happens if there's an emergency with my pet or my house while I'm away?
A: We will attempt to contact you prior to making any decisions (barring life-threatening emergencies). During our initial consultation, we'll discuss veterinarians and other necessary items related to your pet. Kelley is certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and has dog training & behavior experience as well as over 20 years in handling a wide-variety of animals and ailments. We will do our very best to care for your pet with utmost care and compassion.
If something would happen to your home, i.e. plumbing problems, electrical issues or structural problems, we'll go by the plan we have discussed during our initial consultation. The initial consultation is very important and we encourage you to have contact numbers ready when we arrive to your home for our meeting.
