about our pet sitting, dog walking, poop scooping and other services

Thank you for considering using sit-stay-play In-home pet sitting & more.LLC to care for your pets. We understand that you might have questions regarding how things work so we've compiled some frequently asked questions, if your question isn't listed, give us a call or send us a message. We'll be sure to get back with you as soon as possible.

A:  Send us a message or give us a call at 765-744-5688. We'll call you to set up a time to visit your home and at that time we'll introduce you to our services, our policies, meet your pet(s) and get to know each other a little bit.

Q:  How do I pay for services and when is payment due?

A:  We currently accept cash, check and money order. For new clients 100% is due prior to us starting services.  For existing clients, 50% is due prior to services starting and remainder of payment is due when services are complete. Payment may be left in an envelope or other arrangements can be discussed in initial consultation.

Q:  What’s the cancellation policy?

A:  We understand that situations may change and you may decide not to use our services after you have made your reservation, please see our Cancellation Policy

Q:   Do you have a policy for late paments?

A:   Yes we do and we can discuss this with you at your initial consultation.  We do charge a fee for NSF (non-sufficient funds), returned checks and for late payments.  We will work with a debt collection agency for non-payment of funds if payment is not received promptly.

Q:   What if my dog doesn't get along with other animals or people, can I still utilize your services?

A:   Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.  We'll try our best to work with you to integrate our services with your pet, but depending on the severity of issues, a consultation or two might be necessary.  We are not fans of breed discrimination, but do understand that temperment plays a big role in the overall development of dogs especially.  We believe that dogs are not "born bad or aggressive", but they can become aggressive and display unhealthy behaviors without proper training and socialization.  In saying that, we encourage obedience training, crate training, positive reinforcement and socialization, socialization, socialization...

Q:   What if I have multiple-animals, can you still pet sit for me?

A:   Of course! Most of our clients have multiple pets and that is one of the main reasons they call us to care for their pets. It's convenient and clients like that they don't have to worry about having multiple people in their home. We can take care of them all! Just be sure to discuss this during your initial consultation so that we are prepared to handle multiple issues/pets and that you are aware of the fees associated with such care.

Q:   What happens if there's an emergency with my pet or my house while I'm away?

A:   We will attempt to contact you prior to making any decisions (barring life-threatening emergencies).   During our initial consultation, we'll discuss veterinarians and other necessary items related to your pet.  Kelley is certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and has dog training & behavior experience as well as over 20 years in handling a wide-variety of animals and ailments.  We'll do our  best to care for your pet with utmost care and compassion.

If something would happen to your home, i.e. plumbing problems, electrical issues or structural problems, we'll go by the plan we have discussed during our initial consultation.  The initial consultation is very important so we can have a walk-through of your home (to see location of things such as: light switches, thermostat, pet food and supplies.  We encourage you to have contact numbers ready when we arrive to your home for our meeting.

Q:  What if I've scheduled a poop scoop service and it's raining?

A:  Normally we can scoop the poop regardless of the weather but, if it's raining extremely hard or the snow's falling and we can't see the piles, then we will definitely reschedule and credit your account.

Q: What if I schedule a trip and decide to come back early?

A: If your plans change, give us a call as soon as possible. We do have a Cancellation Policy but will work with you to the best of our ability. However, we reserve time specifically for your pet care job and turn away other clients during that time, so if your services aren't cancelled within the specified guidelines, you might incurr charges. Thank you for your understanding.
